Obituary of Edward Robert

June 1, 1935 – December 3, 2011 Edward Klassen, beloved husband of Ruth, of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the age of 76 years. Edward was born and raised in the Linden area, Alberta. He attended high school in Acme and studied dentistry at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He married Ruth Kocher on January 31, 1959. Edward practised dentistry in Three Hills and then Calgary. He spent many summers and most of his retirement at his beloved Shuswap home. Edward is survived by his wife Ruth; his son Edward Klassen (Anna Marie Ruud); daughters, Cindy Kroon (Gary), Susan Zyto (Jon), Sandra Ward (Gordon Hendrickson) and Trudi Klassen; grandsons, Vincent, Elliot, Michael, Isaac, Jacob; only granddaughter Erin-Lynn; siblings, Margaret DiFrancesco, Rudy Klassen (Carmel), Dorothy Ratzlaff (Raymond), Erwin Klassen (Elvera), Rae Rempel (Jake), Trudi Neufeld (Arnie); sister-in-law Marj Klassen; godchildren Vincent Klassen, Laurie Klassen and Paul Van Doren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents David and Mika; sister Helen; niece Teresa; nephew Jeff; and brothers, David, Bernie and Eric. A private service will be held.
