Obituary of Lorraine Esther ORR

November 1925 – November 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother and Nana, Lorraine Orr on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Lorraine was born in Virden, Manitoba and was the eldest of three siblings. Lorraine was predeceased by her sister Ilene Gillis in 2001 and is survived by her brother Howard Boyd. Being the daughter of a BA Oil salesman, Lorraine’s family moved many times throughout her childhood and finally settled in Calgary where she met and married her husband Robert Alan Orr, who predeceased her in 1975. She will be remembered by her two daughters Valorie and Alison; two sons Douglas and Gordon and numerous grandchildren. Although Lorraine struggled with dementia for over ten years, she will be well remembered for her love of Maui and a good party.
