Obituary of Betty Blake MARZETTI

April 29, 1929 – November 29, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and great-great-aunt, Betty on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Betty was born in Cardenden Fifeshire, Scotland on April 29, 1929. She immigrated to Canada with her parents and two brothers in 1930, residing in Nordegg, Alberta. On November 25, 1947, Betty married Frankie Marzetti, staying in Nordegg until the closure of the mines in 1955. It was then, they moved to Calgary. Betty is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Margo and John Smith; brother George Penman; nephew Jim and Rita Penman; nieces, Laurie and Cate, Terry, Roxanne and Boyd, Rhonda and Sean, Stacey and Darren, Nancy and Chris; and nephews, David, Gary and Maura. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frankie; her beloved dog Cricket; parents Jim and Bess Penman; brothers, Jack Penman and Corky Penman; and sister-in-law Ann Penman. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
