Obituary of THREE SUNS

Komskii September 1, 1969 – November 26, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Windsor Three Suns (Poppa), he has gone home to be with Jesus Christ our Savior. He was born in Calgary AB, he spent his early years in Sikiska Nation and later resided in Calgary AB. Windsor has a sense of humor, he was caring, humble, generous, peaceful and a smiling individual. Windsor received his schooling at Crowfoot School, PICSS & Bow Valley College, his employment included; # 1 Legion, Calgary Stampede, Zellers, Siksika Fair, Elbow River Inn & Casino, STA and was presently working as Security Guard with the Siksika Family Services Corporation at the Calgary office. During the 90’s Windsor was a member of the New Life Gospel Band, where he traveled extensively across Canada and the United States, where he was adopted by many Christian Families through his Ministerial Travels and he also had many friends. He loved going to Church, Hockey, Rodeos & Powwows, where he was an active supporter of his nieces and nephews. He coached for the Siksika Girls Hockey Team, he enjoyed singing as a gospel singer as well as powwow singing and he also enjoyed watching the Men’s Chicken Dancers, because his father Mike was a Siksika Old Style Chicken Dancer. He loved his nieces and nephews as his own and never failed to buy them gifts at Christmas time and he always tried to provide any support they requested. He will be sadly missed by his family and by his many friends. Windsor is survived by Kai his adopted daughter & he was uncle/dad to Isaiah in the Blackfoot way of life, his common-law wife Melanie Snow, siblings Joanne, Casey (Marion), Wesley (Sarah), Donna (Lloyd) and Faye (Derek), numerous nieces & nephews and extended families from the Siksika Nation, Kainai and U.S.A. He was predeceased by his parents, Hazel Jane & Mike Three Suns, his siblings Nancy, Woodrow & Sherry and also by his uncle/dad Pius Three Suns. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Sarah and Wesley Three Suns, Siksika Nation, AB on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour, Siksika Nation, AB on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Foothills Hospital, friends & family for their care, support and many prayers.
