Obituary of Peggy Ann BRADCOE

November 24, 1943 – November 22, 2011 It is with deep regret the family of Peggy Ann announces her sudden passing at the Sarcee Hospice in Calgary, Alberta. Peggy Ann was well educated having completed a teaching degree from the U of C then achieved a Masters Degree from the California State University Northridge. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Usher’s Syndrome, and became legally deaf and blind, and it was then she became a member of the CNIB and the Calgary Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association. With a variety of health issues, Peggy Ann’s determination never waned. She had a gift of connecting with people with her wit and sense of humour. Peggy Ann is survived by her brother Gerry Drysdale (Gayle) of Calgary, her sister Pat Ellingson-Beck (George) of Prince Edward Island and her youngest sister Sandi Drysdale of Leduc, Alberta. Also mourning her loss are her nieces Lisa Drew (Richard & Ethan) of Devon, Alberta, Khara Drysdale (Tyra) of Calgary and her nephew Aaron Ellingson of Toronto, Ontario, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins both here and abroad. Peggy Ann was predeceased by her father Leslie, her mother Marjorie and her brother-in-law Robert Ellingson. It was Peggy’s wishes that no funeral be held and If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 15 Colonel Baker Place N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 4Z3 Telephone: (403) 261-7219.
