Obituary of Ramona Elizabeth BOWEN
January 16, 1933 – November 22, 2011
A true angel, Ramona Elizabeth Bowen beloved wife of Robert of Calgary, arrived in the afterlife on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.
She will always be loved and terribly missed by husband Robert; children, Debbie (Warren), Bill (Lisa), Tim (Shelley), Susan (Gord), Jeff (Angele) and Leanne (Lou); grandchildren, Delea (David), Matthew (Tammy), Chad, Samantha, Brittany, Rachelle, Stephane, Curtis, Emma, Justin, Nigel and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Chase, Asianna, Sarah, and Lucian.
Our wife, mother, nanny, and great-nanny always gave of herself, before giving to herself. She took on anything you threw at her whether it was driving all six kids to their many activities, including music lessons and sporting events (and later in life doing the same for her grandchildren), racing us down many ski hills, cross-country skiing, and trekking/cycling around the world with her beloved Bob. That was not all – she loved sewing, crafting, playing bridge, cooking, baking, and cleaning the house when she was mad at someone (a trait she has passed on to some of us).
Our Mom always chose to look at the good in people, never had a bad word to say about anyone, and enriched our lives with her gentleness, kindness, and gracious poise. She loved life, and those fortunate enough to have known Ramona were draped with her positive energy and that same ‘knowing’ that even during troubling times, tomorrow would bring a better day.
