Obituary of Frederick Victor ERICKSON

April 21, 1965 – November 17, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Frederick has lost his battle cancer. Frederick is survived by his loving partner Ken; his sister Laurel Anne (Dean); his nephew Cole; and Helen Borm who played a special part in his life as did many friends and extended family. Frederick was predeceased by his parents Victor and Esther Erickson. He was born in France in a military family and grew up in Winnipeg and Selkirk, Manitoba. Frederick later made his home in Calgary where he was extremely proud to be a member of Calgary’s EMS Paramedic Team. We would like to thank his many friends and family, particularly the paramedics, who lovingly supported and cared for him throughout his illness. We would also like to thank the staff at Chinook Hospice for their wonderful care. At Frederick’s request, there will be a Private Graveside Service held at a later date in Selkirk, Manitoba. Cremation has taken place. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Chinook Hospice, 1261 Glenmore Trail S.W., Calgary AB T2V 4Y8, Telephone: 403-258-0040 or to the charity of the donor’s choice. In living memory of Frederick Erickson, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH Telephone: (403) 276-2296.
