Obituary of Leonard William MOUNTFORD

September 7, 1944 – November 15, 2011 After a tragic accident, Leonard William Mountford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center at the age of 67 years. Leonard is survived by his loving wife Lynda; two sons Maurice (Tammy) and Steven (Annette); two step-children Kim (Nathan) Kusnyir and David (Erin) Swanson; six grandchildren, Nicole, Wesley, William, Nolan, Elisha and Fionnula; brother Maurice; and sister Jean (England). Leonard was born in Stoke on Trent, England on September 7, 1944. He immigrated to Canada in 1965 and moved back to England in 1967 for a short period. He returned to Calgary in 1971 where he worked in the Steel industry until retirement in September 2009. Leonard played recreational soccer until he was sixty and enjoyed working out, biking, and walking the family dog Samantha. One of Leonard’s passions was travelling extensively with his wife Lynda and three years ago decided to become Snow Birds in Arizona. Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (7 Sunmills Green S.E.) on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
