Obituary of Dianne Catherine FIELD

May 14, 1952 – November 15, 2011 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother Dianne. Dianne was raised in Calgary, AB and married her high school sweetheart Hank (Hendrick) Van der Meer. Their four children were born in Ft. McMurray where they lived until shortly before Hank passed away in 1987. Dianne, back in Calgary, met and married Darryl Field in 1989. They moved to Priddis, AB with their young family to enjoy country life and their shared passion for horses. Dianne loved life, adventure and animals, but most of all she loved her family. She also cared enough about her community to generously volunteer her time in support of helping others in distress. Anyone who knew Dianne will remember her for her incredible warmth, kindness, love and most of all her outrageous sense of humour. Dianne will be forever missed by her husband Darryl, children Jaret Van der Meer, Adam Field, Matthew Field, and Jessica (Danny) Selinger, her precious granddaughter Olivia and her brother Scott (Kathryn) Lewis. Dianne’s large extended family and her many close friends will also forever cherish their memories of her. She was predeceased by her parents Alex and Jennie Lewis and first husband Hank Van der Meer. A Celebration of Dianne’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lisa Lamont, the Black Diamond Home Care team, Dr. Vanessa Krause and the staff at the Tom Baker Centre and to the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Foothills Country Hospice. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Foothills Country Hospice, Box 274, Okotoks, AB T1S 1A5. In living memory of Dianne Field, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. Telephone: (403) 256-9575.
