Obituary of Mary Regina Gene McLAUGHLIN

December 7, 1909 – November 13, 2011 Gene passed away peacefully at her home in Whitehorn Lodge, Calgary. She was almost 102. She is survived by sons, Tony & John and daughters-in-law, Louise, Margot & Lorraine as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by George, her husband of 37 years, who died in 1983 and son Phil in 2009. Gene was born in Montreal where she lived most of her life and loved her many years spent in the Laurentians. She also lived in Oakville, Vancouver and then spent her last 8 years in Calgary. Our sincere thanks are extended to the exceptional staff and management at Whitehorn Lodge who provided outstanding care during her last six years. A Memorial Mass will be held in Montreal at St. Malachy’s Parish, 5330 Clanranald Ave on December 14th at 11:30am. Interment of her ashes at Notre Dame-des-Neiges cemetery will follow at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated. Mom, enjoy being with the angels now!
