I was sadden to read of Miss Cavanagh’s passing.

I taught with her at A.E. Cross nearly 50 years ago. She was a most interesting and thoughtful colleague with whom I had many chats as our homerooms were next to one another. Never one to shrink her duties nor under state her opinions, she always stood tall and strong in her philosophy of education and life. I believe she was delighted to help those of us beginning our teaching career.

Over the years I lost contact with her and often wondered if Calgary remained her home.

She is part of my educational memories.
