Obituary of George Chalmers LUNN

June 5, 1934 – November 12, 2011 Chalmers Lunn, beloved husband of Joy Lunn of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the age of 77 years. Chalmers was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1952, initially living in Penticton, BC. In 1953 he settled in Calgary and began work in the land department of various oil companies, including Canada – Cities Service, Canadian Occidental Petroleum, and NEXEN. After retiring in 1992, he returned to consult for a few years. Throughout his career, Chalmers was fortunate to work with many wonderful coworkers of whom he often spoke. Chalmers is survived by his wife of fifty years Joy; daughter Barbara (Brent Polinkas); son Jim; adored grandchildren, Lauren and Kevin; and his sister Joyce.
