Obituary of Irene Alice ULLYOTT
September 9, 1921 – November 12, 2011
Irene Alice Ullyott of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the age of 90 years.
Irene is survived by her three sons, Glenn, grandchildren James (Sandra) and Sandra, and their mother Cathy, son Kevin (Laura) and grandchildren, Logan, Brett, Brock, Luke and son Darwin (Merelee). She was predeceased by her beloved husband Willis in 1992.
Irene was born in Mankota, SK and is the last member of her family. She and Willis met in Regina and married in 1950, living in Simpson, SK where they farmed until they moved to Calgary in 1971. Irene worked for the City of Calgary for many years. She discovered a love of painting, which she carried on until recently, displaying at many art shows in Calgary. Irene enjoyed sightseeing, and organized tours for seniors in the Midnapore and Sundance communities. Irene was a lifelong member of the Anglican Church.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (7 Sunmills Green S.E.) on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
