Obituary of Mary Leolinda Linda RODRIGUES

August 6, 1919 – November 7, 2011 Mary Leolinda “Linda” Rodrigues passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, November 7, 2011 in Calgary at the age of 92 years. Linda was born on August 6, 1919 in Georgetown, Guyana and immigrated to Canada with her husband Albert in 1976. Linda loved to be surrounded by flowers and plants. Her home was a gathering place for family and friends. She was a woman of deep faith, was committed to her family and brought great joy to the many whose lives she touched. She is survived by her nine children and their spouses, Julian (Joy) of Toronto, Albert (Joan) of Guyana, Mary Ann (Francisco Jose) of Dominican Republic, Bernard (Jacinta), Anita (Ronald), Marguerite (Aubrey), Stephen (Janet), Adele (Ben) and Gerry (Cheryl), all of Alberta; and twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; “little sister” Marie DeFreitas; numerous nieces and nephews as well as her sister-in-law Enid Gomes. She was predeceased by her loving husband Albert in 2006, her sister Vera and brother Vincent.
