Obituary of Gina SERANI

1917 – 2011 Gina Serani (nee Cardellini) of Calgary passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the age of 93 years. Gina was born November 18, 1917 in Antrodoco, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1961 with her three small children to provide a better life for them. Gina is survived by her three children, Elena DiNicolo, Anna and Felice LeManne and Abramo Serani; seven grandchildren, Luciano, Nancy, Renzo (Megan), Nadia (George), David (Heather), Bonnie and Kevin; three great-granddaughters, Gabriella, Isabella and Katrina. She is also survived by her brother Quinto and Maria Cardellini and several nieces and nephews. Gina was predeceased by her husband Pasquale Serani. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
