It was a great privelage to know such a wonderful and caring person as Dave. He and I shared many recipes, gardening tips and jokes through our many years together at Parks. I was shocked and so very saddened to read of Dave’s passing. I knew Dave in high school and through our church, and there never was a nicer guy. I have fond memories of Dave and his family, their home in Sunnybrook, and his dad’s giant car – the Fury! He was funny, fun, and kind. I know he cherished his family more than anything, and I know you will be sustained by your memories of this gentle giant who graced our lives for too short a time.

I was so sorry to hear that Dave had passed away. I always enjoyed working with him. No matter what role he had at Parks Canada, he was so very professional, helpful and positive. He continued to provide that helpful and supportive companionship after he retired. It was always a pleasure to spend time with him.
