Condolences
Dear Marie and Family,
Terry and I were saddened to hear of Joe’s passing and send our sincere condolences. I have many fond memories of happy times spent on the farm with you and Joe and the kids. He was a wonderful man and we all loved him. He will be missed.
Love,
Albert
As a fellow Union member I can say that when it came to class Joe personified it.
Many of us lived in the NW and often drove by Joe’s home because of its location. The outside ‘displays’ always bought a smile to our faces and reminded us of the gentle sweet guy that lived in that house.
To society Joe was a real contributor and to his children may you be proud of the wonderful stock you came from.
My deepest sympathy to the Heffernan family. Joe was by far my most favorite cousin! Even though there were many years between us, he was always so kind, gentle and friendly toward me. I will miss his presence, even though we did not see each other often.
Dear Heffernan Family,
Our hearts and prayers are with you in
this difficult time!
Known by many…!…loved by all…!!!
Joseph now soars above all of us!!!
Love and Peace,
Len
We love and miss you Grandpa and are sending light and love to you and Grandma today, as we celebrate his life.
Uncle Joe was a real favourite for me, and I have many great memories of time spent with him and Auntie Marie, as well.
Our paths crossed in many locales for many celebrations, and just to hang out, too, in his garage playing pool or visiting and sharing a cup of coffee.
Fondest memories are of time spent fishing in Pine Lake. I can remember like it was yesterday, when he tugged on my line when I wasn’t looking, and I in turn did the same to him.
We shared many interests including vacation property on the same body of water in BC. I often called on him for advice and help when I needed it.
He and my Dad were very close and his name was often brought up in conversation.
This is a sad time for me, and I humbly offer my condolences to Auntie Marie and all your children and extended families.
All our best in this hardest of times,
Craig & Susan
Dwight and Val….
Our thoughts are with you.

My sincerest condolances to all the family. Uncle Joe will be remembered with fondest.

”A grandfather is someone with silver in his hair and gold in his heart” Grandma has lost her best friend and I will miss you greatly. RIP Grandpa shoot the ball, there is a new angel in heaven today watching over me ♥
My condolences to the family. I have fond memories of Joe and Marie as they faithfully attended events such as weddings, funerals and anniversaries. I am pretty sure they were at my wedding in 1970. They also honoured our family by travelling out to Vancouver Island to join us in celebrating special anniversaries for my parents (Ernie and Eileen Little). Joe will be missed and my heart goes out to Marie.
Thinking of you and sending a word of sorrow to you and your family Marie. .
It is now almost a year since Ernie passed away at age 89 also. I knew they were close as children. May they both rest in perfect peace.
Blessings, Eileen in Nanaimo.
Uncle Joe’s presence was of long length and welcomed by His siblings and all of the Heffernan Family. Well respected and thought of. I well remember an event in Kelowna some years ago with my Mom and Dad, Uncle Joe, Aunt Marie, and friends. We decided to head off to the local restaurant/pub. Being a typical Heffernan I wanted to park my vehicle someplace safe and Uncle Joe could see that I was in doubt. So to assist his young nephew, He jumped in the car with me, said “whats wrong”, I explained and your Dad said ” let’s find a safe place to park”. We did and walked back a couple of blocks to the pub. Your Pop stayed with me through this and I’ve always remembered. Much Love and Blessings, Larry and Kathy H.
