Obituary of Doris Margaret REID

May 12, 1928 – October 30, 2011 After many hugs, kisses, and “we love you’s,” Mom went peacefully into the arms of the Lord, on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the age of 83 years. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye today to a wonderful caring wife, mom, grandmother, and dear friend to many. Doris was born May 12, 1928 in Standard, Alberta. Mom and Dad celebrated their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary on October 27, 2011, just days away from their actual anniversary date November 8. She is survived by the love of her life, Don, son Darcy (Kathy), daughter Diane (David), and her grandchildren Marty, Jillian, Lisa, Brandi, Crystal, and Lance. Doris was predeceased by her parents, and brothers, Roy and Max. Funeral Services will be held at Wild Rose United Church, (1317 1st Street NW) on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
