Obituary of Melanie Charlotte FEILMAYR

April 10, 1929 – October 25, 2011 Melanie Charlotte Feilmayr beloved wife of Laurenz Feilmayr of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on October 25, 2011, at the age of 82 years. Melanie Feilmayr was born April 10, 1929 in Langenreichenbach, East Germany. On November 2, 1948 Melanie married her first husband Henry Schwarz. She emigrated from West Germany on the Arosa Colm in 1952. She spent sixteen years living in southern Alberta being a loving homemaker and then moved to Calgary in 1968. While living in Calgary Melanie became a cook, and married Laurenz Feilmayr on July 4, 1999. Melanie’s passions were going for long drives in the country with her husband Laurenz, spending time with her grandchildren and looking after her incredible garden. Besides her loving husband Laurenz, Melanie is survived by her children Karl Schwarz of High River, George Black of Calgary, Siegfried Schwarz of Kananaskis, Lorraine Maggipinto of Calgary. She is also survived by four grandchildren Karl, Kurtlin, Madeline, and Gabriel, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Melanie is predeceased by her first husband Henry Schwarz and son Wolfgang Schwarz. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
