Roger and Faith.
My heart felt condolences to the McCook family. Many years ago I had the privledge to do business with Eric at McCook Sports in Calgary and Vancouver and always found Eric to be friendly, honest and warm. He was one of the good guys.
Louise and Family;
We were very saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved husband and father Eric.
In reading his obituary the 3 words of honesty, intergrity and reputation truly were the way Eric’s lived his life.
I first met Eric in White Rock around the mid 80’s whilst doing a Commercial development with the Wendy’s chain. We later met again in the Shuswap. Judy and I used to drive past your home everyday on our way home to Eagle Bay. I remember completing a few small subdivisions for Eric on Shuswap lake, one of which became the home of Scotch Creek Cottages.
Eric’s picture in the obit was absolutely the best! It was like he was meeting you for the first time and everytime!
May you rest in peace my friend. Always remembered! Friend and astute business man!

Louise; Grace and I pass on our most sincere condolences on your loss of Eric.
I am shocked to hear of this event as the last time I spoke with him he was so upbeat and positive that I was sure he was going to “win”.
Eric was a friend for life and I shared many zany highschool antics and memories with him. He was a kindred spirit and I am now just beginning to cope with the realization that he is gone. I share your loss, although it weighs heavier on you than I. I have lost a great friend and compatriate, and you, your life’s mate and a wonderful man, father and parent.
I know Eric had stong religious beliefs and moral foundations and I am sure he is now safe, without worries, and enjoying his new home with his Lord and Saviour.
I wish you “Peace” in this time of terrible hardship.
Neil
Louise: I am so sorry to hear of Eric’s death. John and I very much enjoyed meeting you at Estrella. I especially valued that evening that we had discussed the work you were both doing with Terry Gilholme when I lost John to cancer a few years later. I am thinking of you and wishing you peace and comfort at this time of terrible loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you this time. We will miss that smile of Eric’s and his warm, embracing personality that engaged everyone he met, the visit to the lake will be a little different without him.
God Bless, Randall & Kari & Family

Our sincere condolences to the family.
We haven’t seen much of you lately, always hoped to get together in Matzatlan or Ajijic but never seemed to happen. We enjoyed Eric and will miss him.
Our thoughts are with you.
All the best
Al and Myrna
Louise and Family:
My deepest condolences. Haven’t see you folks in years. I along with Eric were part of a right wing cabal (Calgary Foothills Constituency) during the Lougheed Government years, which sought to keep the P.C. on the right hand side of the political spectrum. Very much enjoy those memories and all those heady, passionate political discussions.
God bless.
