Ellen: I was away this month visiting my grandson and was so sorry to hear about your Mom from Eileen Jenkins. Joan was so great -you were three when I met her and you were all she talked about. She loved you and your children, Christian and Chelsey fiercely and we enjoyed sharing our pride in our families. That huge hole in your lives will not go away but in time it will fill up with your wonderful memories of her and they do eventually provide some comfort. I am so sad for you and your children. Joan,as you know, was a beautiful lady and over the years that I had to get to know her I had come to love her.She was always full of cheer when she came in and I always enjoyed sharing a story or two with her. One fond one I remember was when she told me she hitchhiked to Montreal .Such a rebel haha. She always left me smiling.

Oh Ellen, so sorry for your loss. It was funny I was just thinking of your Mom the other day, strange how that happens. You and your Mom where so kind to me way back in the day of grade 5 and 6. You took me in and made me feel welcome. It sounds like she carried on with that, and enjoyed every minute of it, I can only imagine how much your children loved her. So at this time, I send you the best of my wishes, and hope in time you can take solice in all of the good and happy times you shared together.
