Obituary of Ronald Gordon THIRLWELL

June 15, 1944 – October 10, 2011 Ron Thirlwell, beloved husband of Marj Thirlwell of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the age of 67 years. Ron was a proud native Calgarian. He was a Calgary transit operator for twenty-nine years, retiring in 2000. Ron loved his family and treasured time spent with them. He was an avid Calgary Stampeders fan and enjoyed camping with friends. Besides his loving wife of forty-five years, Ron is survived by a son Kevin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Corinne (Shane) Ordano and Carolyn (Scott) Theede; six grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Brandon, Makayla, Kayden and Ashley. He was predeceased by his parents Wilf and Mae Thirlwell as well as his sister Bette Poffenroth. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
