Obituary of Merle HARLESS

May 27, 1921 – October 8, 2011 Merle Harless passed away peacefully on October 8 at Foothills Hospital at the age of 90. Predeceased by her beloved husband Richard and her son Don; parents Julie and Ed Neste; twin sister Coral Clark (Bill); sisters Marg Foster (George) and Eleanor Armeneau (Roland); brothers K.O. Neste and Ralph Neste, she is survived by nieces Dawna Neilson, Georgine Harper (Allan), nephew Gary Foster (Joan) and niece Coral-Sue Sterling (Glen), as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews and their families. Merle will be missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and neighbors. She was a true country girl and spent many years doing what she loved best… living a happy life in the country on the farm with Richard, their horses and dogs. She enjoyed many years of competitive Trail Riding with Coral and pleasure trail rides in Kananaskis with her and their riding friends. Her 90 years were full of love and laughter with her family and many friends. A special thank you to the medical staff of Unit 42 at Foothills Medical Centre for their kind and compassionate care. A celebration of Merle’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 12 at the farm from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
