Obituary of Rose SZARKA

May 21, 1916 – October 2, 2011 Rose Szarka of Calgary, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the age of 95 years. She was born on May 21, 1916 in Otthon, Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary with her husband in 1936, where they spent their lives working and raising their family. Rose took great pride in her family, and will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Elmer (Bev), Richard (Judy) and Dennis (Sylvia); grandchildren, Bruce (Kathy), Ken (Chris), Kelly, Sean and Chris (Serena); great-grandchildren, Scott (Laura), Kurtis, Darren, Morgan, Sydney, Liam, Richard, Alyssa, Madison, Kaiden, Shalamar, Cienna and Shanica; sisters Christine Daku and Elizabeth Clements; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband Joe in 1985. For those that knew Rose, they will forever remember her zest for life and the passion she held for her family and friends.
