Obituary of Robert Alexander DARKER

November 12, 1957 – September 25, 2011 Robert Darker beloved husband of Kathrine Darker, passed away at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary on Sunday, September 25, 2011 after a courageous fight with cancer at the age of 53 years. Robert is survived by his loving wife Kathy and five children, Eric Darker (Taneil Wilson), Melanie Nielson (Jordan), John Darker (Amanda), James Darker (Marlena Paca) and Stephen Darker who is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ogden, Utah; and three grandchildren, Skyler, Ethan and Ryley Nielson. Robert is also survived by his mother Joan (Gordon) Packer; sister Sue; brother Don; and a large extended family. Rob was predeceased by his father John Darker. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Parkland Chapel, 14540 Parkland Blvd S.E., Calgary, Alberta on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a time for visiting with the family prior to the service at the Church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
