Obituary of Amelia HERMAN

August 2, 1915 – September 19, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of Amelia announce her passing on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the age of 96. Mom, grandma, sister, aunty, great-grandma and friend was the eldest daughter of twelve children born to Margaret and Balzer Heilman on August 2, 1915 in Odessa, North Dakota. Amelia will be remembered by all, for her whit, strength, humour, generosity and kindness. She was predeceased by her husband Martin, son Alfred and most recently daughter Carol Nelson. She is survived by her daughter Dolores Herman; son and daughter-in-law Ken and Ann Herman and son-in-law Bob Nelson; her grandchildren Maury, Kenny (Debbie), Shannon (Rodger), Marty, Shelley (Les), Jennifer (Rob), Stacey (Jeff) and great-grandchildren Davis, Dustin, Avery, Aiden and Joshua. Amelia is also survived by her four siblings; Margaret, Mary, Balzer and Lorraine, as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones. We love you and will miss you. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) today, Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
