Obituary of Clementina DiMarzo
January 22, 1928 –September 18, 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of Clementina DiMarzo announces her passing on Sunday, September 18, 2011. She passed away peacefully with dignity and grace surrounded by her loving family. She will be fondly remembered for her pride and passion for cooking and gardening and her incredible work ethic. Devoted to her family, she loved being surrounded by her grandchildren. Clementina is survived by her children Carmelina (Andrea), Nick (Jennifer), and Tony (Laurel). She leaves behind seven grandchildren Marina, Serana, Nadia, Alessia, Gemma, Michael, and Silvana as well as a grandson on the way. She is also survived by her sister Ida (Antonio) and brother Michele (Maria Luisa) in Montreal as well as brothers Costanzo (Virginia) and Francesco (Teresa) in Italy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Calgary, Montreal and Italy. Clementina was predeceased by her beloved husband Giuseppe in 1998 and her dear brother Giuseppe Iarocci in 2010. Born in Bonefro, Campobasso, Italy she immigrated to Canada in 1965 where she worked at the Calgary Tower for many years. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Unit 82 at the Foothills Hospital who were highly competent and compassionate.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
