Obituary of Louise Joan McLeod
June 20, 1950 – September 16, 2011
Louise Joan McLeod beloved wife of Rod of Calgary, passed away as she lived her life, with dignity and grace at the Southwood Hospice with family and friends by her side following a nine month battle with cancer on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the age of 61 years.
Louise was born in Regina, SK as the only daughter of Bob and Lillas Cawsey. Louise lived an exciting life. Her earlier days saw her at school in Regina, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Edmonton before moving to Calgary in 1970. Louise worked at BMO Bank of Montreal throughout most of her working career. The consummate mother, she preferred the life of a stay-at-home mom while raising her sons – a decision that paid off in spades! Once the boys were in high school, she returned to work, briefly at Michaels, then back to the more familiar surroundings of BMO. She will be fondly remembered for her positive attitude, bright smile and effervescent personality.
Besides her loving husband Rod, Louise is survived by her sons Iain and Grady; as well as by Bailey the wonder dog, all of Calgary.
A Celebration of Louise’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
