Obituary of Jacques DERECH

February 2, 1928– September 6, 2011 Jacques Derech, beloved husband for fifty-two years to wife Gladys Derech, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital. Jacques was an avid gardener and a long time employee of both the Carriage House and the Highlander Hotels. Left to celebrate his life with Gladys are three sons and a daughter- in-law: David (Sherry), Maurice (Brenda) and Patrick (Robyn) and grandsons Jacob and Eyosias. Jacques is also survived by his two sisters Marie and Stephanie from Edmonton along with numerous nephews and nieces in the Edmonton area and in France. Jacques was predeceased by his brother Georges while being survived by his sister-in-law. Funeral Services will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour (8831 Fairmount Drive S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 0Z4) on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
