Obituary of Jacques DERECH
February 2, 1928– September 6, 2011
Jacques Derech, beloved husband for fifty-two years to wife Gladys Derech, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital.
Jacques was an avid gardener and a long time employee of both the Carriage House and the Highlander Hotels.
Left to celebrate his life with Gladys are three sons and a daughter- in-law: David (Sherry), Maurice (Brenda) and Patrick (Robyn) and grandsons Jacob and Eyosias. Jacques is also survived by his two sisters Marie and Stephanie from Edmonton along with numerous nephews and nieces in the Edmonton area and in France.
Jacques was predeceased by his brother Georges while being survived by his sister-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour (8831 Fairmount Drive S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 0Z4) on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank the dialysis staff at the Foothills Hospital especially Dr. Schorr and the kind people at the family grieving area in the emergency ward. Sincere thanks to those who cared for our father at the Chinook InterCare facility where he was able to spend his remaining days with mom and prior to that Sarcee Carewest facility.
