Obituary of Reba Mae GARDNER
December 31, 1920 – August 28, 2011
We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Reba Mae Gardner. She passed away peacefully at sunrise on Sunday, August 28th at the age of 90. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Fred J Gardner, her two sons Kenneth (Gayle) and Brian (Valerie), grandchildren Warren, Kelly and Katie, and her sister Velma (Roy) Gaffney. She was predeceased by her brother Tom Johnson, and her twin sister Ruth Donovan.
Reba will be remembered as a wonderful woman with a hardworking nature and a caring spirit. She touched the lives of many and forged meaningful life-long friendships. Through her volunteer work and acts of charity she played a vibrant role in the community. Reba’s humour and zest for life made time spent with her a true blessing. Though her departure leaves an empty place in all of our hearts we will always cherish our memories of the incredible moments that we shared with her.
The family would like to thank Dr. Geoghegan and the dedicated caregivers of Unit 81 at Foothills Medical Centre.
She will be laid to rest during a private service in Regina later in September. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
