Condolences
Have just heard about Randy, tho I know him by swede. I met him on the Tiger poker website, and he was a sweet man, and quite a gentleman..He loved his family so much. I’m so sorry to hear about this and it is quite a shock. My prayers are with his family, tho I know it has been a while, but sometimes things pass more smoothly with prayer. Sleep well my friend
Donna and Family!
I’m so very sorry to hear of Randy’s passing! Randy was always smiling at work and could make you laugh when you least expected it. He was very committed to making improvements for all workers and I had the pleasure of sharing in that work during Randy’s time given to the labour movement! Randy will always be remembered as being such a wonderful person to be around. My heart goes out to you and your family!
Our deepest sympathies. We’ll always remember our trips out west and how he was able to lighten up a room and make our visits fun and enjoyable.
Donna, Cathy, and Lindsey
My deepest sympathy on Randy’s passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him on some of his visits to Nfld and recall fondly his warm friendly and welcoming smile. May you find comfort in your cherished memories. Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
Our love & sympathy for your great loss go to Donna, Cathy, Lindsey and brother Ken. We have known and loved Randy since he was a baby. He was always one of our favorite nephews & for a short time lived with us after leaving Kimberly. He was also a valued employee of our company before starting his long career with the city. You will always have a special place in our hearts and memories, Randy. Love from Don, Eva, Julie & Brent
Thank you Lindsey for letting me know this happened!! I’m feeling very very sad inside! Your parents were second parents to me growing up and your dad was always so great! He was so funny, teaching us the “UNG” language and the name’s he made up for us! I can hear him and your mom in their Newfie accents getting mad at us about something, right now like it was yesterday! The problem with life is that people grow a part and time’s like this make me sad that I wasn’t able to see him before he passed! Thank you Randy and Donna for ALWAYS being a great support growing up I do love you both and always will! Lindsey you are still my sister for life! Cathy xoxox! Sam

I’m sorry I can’t be there in person to offer my condolences. I was at your wedding and the good impression I got of Randy then ran through all those years that I have known him. He was truly a pleasant person in whose company one always felt comfortable and at ease. Your loss is great, indeed. I will be thinking about you all and praying for you all during this period of mourning.
My deepest sympathy!

My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. I knew Randy with my time as a City employee and Randy always had a smile on his face and a nice thing to say, he is missed by all who he had touched.
Sorry for your loss. Randy always took the time to talk to me when we would cross paths at work. He always had a smile and something funny to say. He will be remembered for this…good man gone to soon.
The Hedquist family,
Words alone cannot express our sympathy on the untimely death of your beloved husband, father, brother and friend. To say that his time with us was far too short is an understatement. The reality is that Randy will be surely missed by all who knew and loved him.
No doubt the outpouring of sympathy you have received since Randy’s parting has been of some consolation. Hopefully it will serve as a reminder to you of how well-loved and liked he was.
We have many fond memories or Randy and Donna’s visits home to Newfoundland over the previous few years, many evenings spent reminiscing over times together.
I hope that you and your family will find peace and comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and that his just rewards await him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time

We all had the pleasure of working with Randy over the years and we are very saddened to hear of his passing. Randy was a very nice man with a great sense of humor and we will always remember him this way. While there are no words to help ease your loss that you bear know that you are close in every thought and prayer. Randy RIP.
Donna, Cathy & Lindsey – I am truly saddened to hear of your loss, this hits me hard as I used to see a lot of my dad in Randy, the similarities were uncanny. Unfortunately, they both ended up with the same nasty condition and passed at the same age. My heart goes out to all of you as I know too well how difficult it has been. Randy was a wonderful guy and will be truly missed.
My deepest sympathy,
Debbie

Uncle Randy was a great man, a wonderful husband, devoted father & grandfather, not to mention awesome uncle.
Luckily for me moving to BC meant I was able to see Aunt Donna and Uncle Randy much more than living in Newfoundland. I am very thankful for this, even if it was a quick visit on the way to the airport.
Uncle Randy had a very warm and inviting way about him. He made Yannick feel like part of the family right away (it worked out good because they were the first of the family to meet him. So there was a good report to mom and dad)
He will certainly be missed. We lost a great man, but heaven gained a wonderful angel!
Laura & Yannick

My sympathy and prayers are with you all.

We know that the past 10 months have been very difficult on the whole family. Since Randy got sick last Oct. We have remembered so many happy times together: from our many trips to your place in Toronto in the 70’s, to the times when we all got together at home in Carbonear, to our visits to Calgary and our golf games. And there were many more. Randy was not only a brother-in-law, he was a good friend and there is no doubt that he will be missed. We are sad to lose Randy but we are happy that he is finally out of his pain. God bless all of you.
Gary and Yvonne
