Obituary of Jerome Mathias RAPKOSKI

April 4, 1939 – August 23, 2011 Jerome (Jerry) Mathias Rapkoski beloved best friend of Valerie of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the age of 72 years. Jerry was born in Gravenhurst, Ontario but relocated early in life to Alberta. He resided in a few smaller communities in Southern Alberta until eventually settling in Calgary. Jerry was a happy, up-beat person whose laugh could fill a room and whose enthusiasm for life was astonishing. He passed away peacefully in his sleep while he was dreaming of his next adventure. His love for driving, stock car racing, bowling, golf, horseback riding, the casino and travel was only surpassed by his overwhelming love for his friends and relatives. Besides his best friend Valerie, Jerry is survived by his aunt Claire Cooke; two sons Lorne and Lee Rapkoski; as well as countless friends and professional truck drivers with Tri Line. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
