Obituary of William Robert GALE

October 13, 1935 – August 21, 2011 Bill passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Bill was born on October 13, 1935 in Calgary. He worked for a variety of companies in both Calgary and Medicine Hat – Fastfrate, Motorways, Burnco, Nor J and Joyline – to name a few. Bill was also a member of the Calgary Highlander Pipe and Drum Band and served in the Royal Canadian Army and Navy Reserves. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Kensington Branch. Bill’s hobbies included building and repairing computers for family and friends, fishing for trout all over Alberta and admiring semis while driving down the highway. Over his trucking career he was awarded numerous safe driving awards. He is survived by his children, Catherine Faulkner of Calgary, Robert Gale (Joan Fleckenstein) of Redcliff, and Jeffery Gale of Lac La Biche; grandchildren, Robert Gale Jr. and Dawn Rigetti of Medicine Hat, Richard and DoniRae Gale of Elkwater, Ethan Faulkner of Medicine Hat, Ryan Faulkner of Calgary; and great-granddaughter Miah Gale of Medicine Hat. He is also survived by his brother John and Patricia Gale; and sister Judy Gaetz, all of Calgary.
