Obituary of Timothy S. WOOD

April 18, 1953 – August 15, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Tim Wood, at Foothills Hospital, at the age of 58 years. Tim fought a courageous battle against cancer, and succumbed to pneumonia August 15, 2011. Tim is survived by his son Dana (Tracy) and grand-daughter Lily of Nova Scotia, his parents Doug and Betty Wood, his siblings Maureen Faunt (Rob), Karen Wood (Rick Ware), Mike Wood (Colleen Moreland), Christopher Wood (Karen), as well as, nieces and nephews Trevor (Allina), Everett, Tara (Behn), Mackenzie, Samantha, Sarah, Ben, Natalie. Tim was a youth in the 31st St. Cyprian’s Scout Group, enjoyed reading, camping, cooking, music and motorcycles. After becoming a Heavy Duty Mechanic, he spent his working years in this trade, and was well respected by his peers. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Monday, August 22 from 1-4pm at 31st St. Cyprian’s Scout Hall, 1522 – 21st Ave., N.W. One of Tim’s greatest desires was to create a legacy for his cherished grand-daughter Lily. If friends so wish, memorial donations may be made for Lily at a CIBC account that is being set up.
