Dear Lisa, Erin, Linda, Ervin & Families,
We are very sorry to hear about Jeff. We both had the pleasure of working with him. He was a kind-hearted and fun-loving individual, loved by everyone who knew him. We have fond memories … especially he and Lisa’s beautiful wedding in Winnipeg.
Thinking of you with heartfelt sympathy.

Sincerely,
Doug & Deb Bardick
I am very sorry for the loss of a great soul that was Jeff, I understand the pain you are feeling all to well and know that life will never be the same, but I know that Jeff will be watching to ensure that you get back up, dust off and see life for what it can be……..an adventure worth the price of admission and the wait in line. I am sorry I didn’t get the chance to meet the lady who was his other half of his soul, as I know you are one of a kind to have captured his heart.
With heart felt condolences to the whole family. Love Nancy
I have just learned of Jeff’s death and feel such deep sadness. I knew Jeff through our little condo board meetings and his decency and kindness were so evident, even over the phone. My son and his family often visit Fish Creek Park– it is a fitting place for a tree to celebrate his life. My deepest condolences to you Lisa.
What an incredible loss! My thoughts are with all that loved Jeff.
Sincerely,
Wendy
To Jeff’s family and friends, my deepest sympathy to all. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff up in Cameron Hills, NWT which is a place of beauty but isolated and very harsh. Working in extreme conditions brought out the best of all of us to ensure that plants and camps kept operating. Jeff would go out of his way always to give our crews a hand and we would try to help him and his crew out when we were up there constructing new facilities. Jeff’s easy going attitude, practicality and a caring person was infectous to us all. He loved his family and often talked about them and renovating his home. I will always remember the times we got to fly out to surrounding lakes to fish, view wildlife and just explore up there. A good friend has passed on.
My dear friend Lisa,
I am so saddened to learn the news of your beloved Jeff. I struggle to find the correct words to help ease your pain and sorrow. Please know that I have always kept you close to my heart and have thought of you often over the years. May time bring your broken heart some healing and memories of Jeff fill you with love that will once again bring a smile to your face.
I am unable to attend the service, as my dad is unwell. And I will be in Edmonton. You and Jeff’s family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I am here for you and always will be.
Love you.
Debbie
I was deeply saddened by the news of Jeff’s passing. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I often think about the adventures we had with Jeff through our school years in Rochester and Athabasca. Jeff was always a great friend. Those memories will be with me forever and I’m thankful I had those experiences with Jeff. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
Myself and my family send our sincere condolences to the family of Jeff. I cannot begin to imagine the sorrow that his passing must bring you all. Jeff will always be my best friend I’ll always talk to Jeff, in my heart he will never be be far away. I have never meet a more caring and loyal person than Jeff. I’ve known Jeff and his family since 1987and on July 22/11 my wife 2 of our girls and myself went to jeff and Lisa’s house where we meet Lisa for the first time. Jeff and Lisa treated us like gold. You could not meet a more perfect couple. Words alone can not express how bad I feel for what has happened. I’ll always love Jeff, Lisa and the Wanke family.
I was so sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. I have very fond memories of our time in Rochester with Jeff, Danny and Chris, and occasionally Rob.

I am so very sorry for your loss.
Jeff was a great friend when I needed him. I remember that he always had a smile on his face (except when we were drill marching). Even though it has been 24 years since I saw him last, I remember him so very fondly. He was always so kind and sweet to me.
My thoughts are with all of you during this time.
I am so sorry for your loss. I went to highschool with Jeff and hung out with him on and off for years. He could always make me laugh and smile. I have such fond loving memories of him. Once we went for a walk along the river valley in Edmonton and we were going down hill and he promised to catch me. Well I slipped right through is legs and my butt was full of gravel in my skin. He took me home picked out the gravel and bandaged me up. The next day we laughed so hard we had tears in our eyes. He was truly a friend and I loved him very much. I will keep him close to my heart as you will. Rest in peace buddy and you will be missed by all.
The nicest person I ever had the honor of working with. He was a gentleman, just all round great guy!! I am so sorry for your loss, he will be truly missed. He was a wonderful friend.
TOUCHING SHOULDERS
There’s a comforting thought at the close of the day,
When I’m weary and lonely and sad,
That sort of grips hold of my crusty old heart
And bids it be merry and glad.
It gets in my soul and it drives out the blues,
And finally thrills through and through.
It is just a sweet memory that chants a refrain
“I’m g1ad I touched shoulders with you!”
Did you know you were brave, did you know you were strong?
Did you know there was one leaning hard?
Did you know that I waited and Listened and prayed,
And was cheered by your simplest word!
Did you know that I Longed for that smile on your face,
for the sound of your voice ringing true?
Did you know I grew stronger and better because
I had merely touched shoulders with you?
I am glad that I live, that I battle and strive
For the place that I know I must fill;
I am thankful for sorrows, I’ll meet with a grin
What fortune may send, good or ill.
I may not have wealth, I may not be great,
But I know I shall always be true,
For I have in my life that courage you gave
When once I rubbed shoulders with you.
