Obituary of Allan COTE

February 10, 1939–August 13, 2011 Allan Cote, beloved husband and best friend of Evelyn Cote of Calgary, passed away onSaturday, August 13, 2011at the age of 72 years after a brief illness. Allan Cote was born inTisdale,Saskatchewanwhere his parents proudly farmed. He grew up quickly to be head of the house after his father’s untimely passing. Allan left the farm in 1956 to move toVancouver. In 1958 he joined the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers of the Canadian Armed Forces to get his mechanic’s licence. He was posted toCalgaryin 1960 where he met Evelyn, marrying in 1961. They startedCote’s Equipment in 1970 retiring in 1998. OnApril 1, 2011they celebrated fifty wonderful years working together, travelling and enjoying life on their Springbank acreage. Besides his loving wife, Allan is survived by his daughter Karen (Doug) Canning; son Cameron (Kristy); four grandchildren, Nathan, Robin, and Kelsey Cote and Alexandra Canning; his brother Ken (Carol) and sisterShirley(Randy) Bergman. You were so loved and will live in our hearts forever.
