Obituary of STARLIGHT-Mary Jane

December 24, 1921–August 5, 2011 Mary Jane Starlight passed away at her home on Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the age of 89 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Victor, Bernice (Dave), Gloria (Stephen), Sidney (Regena), Shirley (Dan), Bruce (Deanna), Jeanette, Elizabeth, Jesse (Paula), April (Donald), Vera, Cynthia (Reinhart), Marty and Sheena (Tom); her brother Mike Meguinis; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. As well as family members in the Frank, Bear, O’Chiese, Windy Boy, Yellow Bird, Lone Wolf, Caldwell, Fraser, Barstead, Meguinis, Big Plume, and Crowchild. Mary Jane was predeceased by her husband the Late Chief James Starlight “Spotted Eagle”, mother Elizabeth Meguinis, father Pat Grasshopper; siblings, Sarah Meguinis, Phillip Meguinis, Walter Meguinis and Willie LittleBear; sons Jimmy and Patch; grandchildren Mabel , Lisa , Victor Jr., Sounder and Robert; great-granddaughter Candace. Wake Services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the residence of the late Mary Jane Starlight. Funeral Services will be held at Sarcee Seven Chiefs Sportsplex (Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB) on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with graveside service at Tsuu T’ina Nation Cemetery.
