Obituary of OLD WOMAN
October 8, 1981 – August 3, 2011
Arlan Lance passed on to join his family in heaven on Wednesday August 3, 2011 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 29 years.
Arlan was a loving, caring man. Arlan’s passion was fastpitch, winning the National Canadian Native Championship in 2007. Arlan was involved in the Cursillo movement, making his Cursillo in 2005. He was born on October 8, 1981.
Arlan is survived by his companion Lenora R.R., loving parents Arlene Old Woman and Barry Yellow Fly, adoptive parents Alvin and Liz B.C., son Tyrell (mother Sherri R.R.), siblings Ginger (Ellie), B.J., Preston (Amber), Chelsea (Charles), Dale, Teddy, Megan, Lyle, Dakota, god children Drayton, Marissa, Charlize. Aunts Gwen (Robert), Marlene (Rex), Joelle, Virginia Medicine Traveller, Veronica Smith, Ruth (Francis) Melting Tallow, Mildred Little Light, Daisy, Rose, Christine. Uncles Joe (Debbie), Mandel (Blanche), Alvin, Trent (Girlie) Eddie, Curtis, Noel Yellow Fly, Art Yellow Fly, Clifford (Melvina) Healy and Tom (Marie) Healy, family members from the Yellow Fly, Healy, Red Crow, White Elk, Back Fat, McMaster, Water Chief, Black Horse
Arlan was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Marie and Joe Old Woman, paternal grandmother Salina (Healy) Yellow Fly and his sister Sherri Maguire. Uncles Ricky, Roderick, Weyman, Melvin, Billy Jack, Clint and Sheldon. Aunts Cheryl, Joanne, Brenda, Darlene. The family would like to apologize for anyone they may have missed.
Wake Services will be held from 1:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. on Sunday August 7, 2011 at the residence of Arlene Old Woman, after 6:00 p.m. wake services will than be held at the residence of Barry Yellow Fly.
Funeral Service will be celebrated at Gordon Yellowfly “PIIKSA-PI” Memorial Arbour (Siksika Nation) on Monday August 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow Caanan Stocken Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB). Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
