Obituary of LUINI – Louis

March 4, 1932 – August 1, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Louis Luini on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Lou, or Bunny to those closest to him, was born in Hillcrest, Alberta and has retained strong connections to the Crowsnest Pass area his whole life. He moved to Calgary in the early 1950s and met and married his loving wife of fifty-three years, Annie. Starting with his tools as a finish carpenter, he pursued and mastered a lifelong career in the residential housing industry spending the majority of his career with Keith Construction Company. He personally passed the house keys to thousands of happy homeowners in South Calgary. He is a prominent name in the history of Calgary home building and is remembered by many to this day. His career was guided by many of the same attributes that characterized his life. He was strong in principle, compassionate, kind to people and generous with his time to his friends and family. Above all, his family was always first. We all cherish the strong sense of family that he so proudly displayed for us. He has left a legacy that we will all pursue in our own lives. We will all miss him dearly. Lou will be lovingly remembered by his soul mate and dear wife, Annie. Louis is also survived by his two children, Shelley (John) Fulton and Kevin (Toni) Luini; and his grandchildren, Kayley, Kiera, Tyler and Lauren.
