Condolences
Mrs. Waddock and family. I recently learned of Terry’s passing. Our paths crossed for many years in intermunicipal planning matters. As a City of Calgary employee, I often represented differing views on issues that were important to both of our municipalities. But Terry was always eloquent, knowledgable and fair in his perspectives on behalf of his Council. It was a pleasure knowing Terry, and he will be missed as part of the regional planning scene.
Dear Sarah and Family,
We only recently heard about your father’s passing. Our thoughts are with you all during this time.
Vikash, Monique, Bryson and Renee
Dear Maggie and family,
We recently found out about Terry’s passing. We wish to express our sympathy and give our condolences to you and your family. We’ll remember Terry for his tireless efforts and passion for our community. He was a great councillor and real gentleman. We are truly sorry for your loss.
Maggie and family:
My condolences — it has been some time since I visited Calgary but when I was there I had a “family” in Terry and Maggie and all the children. What a wonderful friend Terry was sharing with me both his family and his work at Shell — I will miss him but am enriched by his contributions to my life.
We were very sad to hear of Terry’s passing, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
John and Debbie Coppock
Dear Maggie,
It is with great sadness that we heard about Terry’s passing. Also we would have liked to say goodbye, it is a privilege to have known him and fond memories will stay with us. We will forever be in your and Terry’s debt for giving a home to Manolo and being a second Mom and Dad to him. Please know that if you ever want to visit your friends in the Porcupine Hills the door is always open.
With love,
Elisabeth and Manolo Garcia
Dear Maggie and Your Family
Words cannot express how sad we feel for you and your family at this time of loss.
We are never ready to say good bye to anyone, but of course someone so dear to us as a father, husband or child is unbearable.
Our untimely meeting 19 years ago after Kevin’s accident and one year after our son Colin’s death was unbelievably sad, I remember wondering how we would ever carry on. But we did and as we know now only time, faith and the love of family and friends helps heal such deep wounds.
May you know we are thinking of you and offering you our condolences on Terry’s passing.
Donna and Randy Pawliw
Mrs Waddock,
I’m so sorry to hear about my friend Terry. I have been down here in the states, and just heard. Please give my very best to all the kids and grand kids. I feel so terrible for your loss. He was such an avid golfer and so athletic. He will be greatly missed. He was very good to Katie and I, as were you. Such a great, private man.
I will miss him alot.

Dear Waddock Family:
I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Terry through the Foothills Regional EMS Commission. He was a very warm and inviting individual that loved to talk golf and convertibles. Everyone who came to know him was graced with his mentorship and guidance, he will be missed. Be honoured he graced so many lives and hearts. Best regards to the whole family.
Take care,
Don Allan

Cherish all your wonderful trips and happy times together and let them be your strength right now. He is resting now and watching over you all. I will keep my candle lit for him and for your family. iris & Gary
I had the great pleasure of knowing Terry for the past ten years or so and was able to work closely with him while he was the Chair of the Foothills Regional Emergency Services Commission. Terry was very a passionate advocate and was a true friend to EMS and 911 services in Southern Alberta. I learned a great deal from him as we traveled throughout the province. I will miss him.
Maggie – thank you for all the great lunches and allowing our business into your home all those years ago. Thank you sharing Terry so freely with us. Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless
Darren Sandbeck
Dear Maggie! I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I’ll never forget your eloquent tribute for Joan Eaton at Bishop Carroll. While I didn’t know Terry, I have no doubt that his tributes will be as eloquent. Graham Foster.
We are so sorry that Terry and all your family had to struggle with cancer, and don’t we wish that those we love the most and deserve it the least wouldn’t have to deal with such a nasty disease. Flor always appreciated how well prepared Terry always was as a councillor, and could make the best decisions because of that. He was a gentle man and a gentleman, and we truly enjoyed his and your friendship. You are all in our hearts as you miss and mourn one of the really good guys. Most sincerely,
Flor & Margaret
Dear Maggie and Family,

How fortunate we were to have had the opportunity of sharing but a small part of the life of a truly good person.
Our thoughts and hearts go out to you.
We wanted to extend our sincere sympathy to the Waddock family. Terry was our councillor for many years and was very sincere, supportive and helpful in so many ways to our communities over the years. We are very saddened to hear of the passing of such a fine gentleman.

My sincere condolences to you all.
I am a volunteer at the “Y” and always enjoyed seeing Terry sweating on the treadmill. He loved to chat and share memories of life in the UK (I am from London) and he had such a wicked sense of humour.
May he rest in peace.
Sincerely, Barb
My deepest sympathies Sarah to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Take Care

We’re sending our heartfelt condolences for the loss of your husband and father. We only knew you for a short time when our paths crossed at ARBI and remember you as such a warm and loving family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

On behalf of your friends at ARBI, We are sending our sincere sympathy to the Waddock family. We are deeply sorry for the loss of Terry.
Mrs. Waddock and Family,
I wish to convey my deepest sympathies to you on the passing of Terry. For many years while Terry was on Council he was one of my toughest opponenets. I knew that if I had satisfied Terry that I had done a good job for not only my clients but the people of Priddis. I will always remeber and respect the way that Terry gave of his time and advice on my behalf and of the people he represented. My funniest memory was the day we met at Priddis Greens to review some issue or another at Hawks Landing and he showed up in deep hip waiters to protect his golf pants as he also had a tee time since he was there anyway. He was one in a million.
Fondly, Kristi Beunder
I had the distinct pleasure of working with Terry for a number of years and the one thing I remember most is how much he loved his family and spoke often of the incredible accomplishments of his children. I admired him immensely for his conviction to the landowners he was elected to represent and his true sense of compassion. I have also had the pleasure of meeting his son James and his daughter Sarah and I must say how impressed I was with their eloquence and their deep adoration for their father. Terry was present within them both that was ever evident. It is with great sadness that I say how much Terry will be missed among us. His warm smile and his great sense of humour are things I will cherish about my time spent in his company. My heart goes out to all of Terry’s family, he was an amazing soul.
Sincerely
Theresa Chipchase
Maggie and family:
May all your fond memories wrap around your heart and stay there forever.
Barb.
I had the opportunity to work with Terry through the Calgary Regional Partnership. He and I worked together to select the first Executive Director and it was a pleasure to get to know Terry through that process. Terry and I had many philosophical battles during our tenure on the exec. committee of CRP but I never doubted his passion for his community. Terry was always the consummate gentleman and for that I was always grateful.
Linda Bruce
Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
– Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
As we know so well, the passage of time never really heals the tragic memory of such a loss, but we carry on, because we must, because our loved one would want us to, and because there is still light to guide us in the world from the love they gave us.
We carry on.
God, continue to bless Terry Waddock; and may he rest in eternal peace.
Maggie and Family:
We are all deeply saddened by your loss. Terry did many wonderful things for our family and we are very proud to have had him as a friend. His honesty, sense of justice and genuine caring we will cherish always and his lessons in courage will never be forgotten. We know he is in a better place surrounded by your loved ones who journeyed on before him.
