My husband and I met and chatted with Sylvie at the Friday night Ostsberg Gallery shows. She had a very charming and friendly way about her and we enjoyed her artistic works! We will remember her fondly and offer you and family our condolences.
Don, I was deeply saddened to hear of Sylvie’s passing. I have wonderful memories of our days together in IMS, Montreal. Please accept my sincere condolences at this sad time.

Don,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Sylvie’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during the hard time.
Dear Don,
My deepest sympathy. Sylvie is so young. When Marie-Andrée passed away I attended group therapy called here in Quebec, Palliavie. We suffer so many painful sentiments in time like this, that sharing with others helps. Don’t hesitate to call me if you want to talk. You will have to speak slowly because my english is rusted after 7 years in pension.
Bon courage,
Michel
Don
Words cannot do justice at a time like this. May knowing that friends are thinking of you, and sending you strength and comfort, help you cope with this terrible tragedy. Be strong, but don’t be afraid to reach out.
Your friend

Quelle affreuse nouvelle!
Dear Don, Luc and family we are so sorry to hear of your loss and offer our deepest condolences. We will miss seeing Sylvie’s radiant smile at the Ruberto Ostberg Gallery.

Dearest Don & Luc and family~~Our beloved Sylvie has left us though her beautiful spirit will forever remain. From her soft & knowing blue eyes, to her silk smooth skin and radiant smile, her ‘joie de vivre’ and zest for life is unsurpassed. From bean bag tosses & planting flowers, white wine on verandahs and antiquing, the creation of expressive art and the laughter ever present, this is our Sylvie, a true lady who will be sorely & deeply missed by all to whom she was dear. Her spirit will envelop us forevermore. Our lives have been irrevocabaly changed. It is an honour and a priviledge to have had her with us. She is with us now, and forever will be. With all of our love, Karen, Harley, Vie, Julia & Doug, Kimberly & Dave.
Don
Carole and I were deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Sylvie’s illness and passing. Words fail me in trying to express our sympathy with your loss and the challenges you face going forward without her. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Don, Luc, Kurtis and Michelle,
We are going to miss seeing Sylvie at the Ruberto Ostberg gallery and the Purple Door. She was a wonderful artist and her paintings were full of emotion and beauty. I loved Sylvie’s outspokenness and she used to challenge me in my approach to my own art “Karen, what are you doing?” That will echo in my memory of her for sure. And her warmth towards my children, Austin ( her boyfriend ) and Robyn (mini me). We look forward to a proper farewell at her memorial as she deserves the best we can offer her in our memory.
I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Sylvie’s family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your Sylvie. Our prayers are with you. A donation to the ACS has been sent in her honour.
Don and Luc,
It is hard when you lose someone so beautiful and vibrant. Sylvie will be remembered for the joy and countless laughs she brought to everyone around her. I am so sorry to hear of your loss and offer my deepest condolences. She still lives on in all our hearts.
Don, I will always remember Sylvie for spirit, energy, smile, humour and love of life. I will continue to hold her painting in great honour. Hope you are doing even better than can be expected. Your love for her was palpable and she knew it. Take care,
Kerry
Please accept my sincere condolences. May the words found in Revelation 21:4 bring you comfort and hope when “death will be no more, nor mourning, nor pain be anymore…”

Don,
A life ended much too soon. Sylvie’s greatest gifts to Stella and I were her smile and her joie de vivre. From our first get-together on Nun’s Island to the garden on Patterson Hills, Sylvie most definitely lit up our lives. She will be sorely missed….. Godspeed!
Our loving thoughts are with you. We all will miss Sylvie, but will cherish the time we spent together. She was quite the lady…caring, strong, loving, and of course…full of life and humor.
Find peace and comfort in her memories … thoughts are with you!
