Obituary of McCOY – Doris Mary Jane

December 11, 1931 – July 27, 2011 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Mary Jane McCoy, loving wife, mother and grandmother on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the age of 79 years. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Doris was born in Ottawa and after her late husband Gerry retired from Canada Post, they moved to Calgary to be with their children. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was treasured by her family. We will miss her more than words can say and she will forever be in our hearts. She now joins her son Wayne, who passed away on July 3, 2011, and her husband Gerry, who passed away January 16, 2010. Doris is mourned by her children, Cynthia (Mike) Hanley, Kevin (Kareen) McCoy, Brian (Andrea) McCoy, Lynne (Rick) Clost, Sharon (John) Moen and Tom McCoy; daughter-in-law Jeannette McCoy; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Doris is also survived by her brothers, Gerry (Alison) Grant and Garry (Carole) Grant; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends in Ottawa. She was also predeceased by her parents Samuel and Anne Grant; brothers Sam and George; and sister Gail. Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Please forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
