Obituary of D’SOUZA – Lawrence

August 21, 1928 – July 23, 2011 Lawrence went to join his Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 23, 2011, surrounded by his loving family, after a brave struggle with unrelenting Pulmonary fibrosis. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis, daughter, Cheryl, Son, Shawn (Ingrid), grandson Kevin, brothers, Charles (Jessie), Stany (Blanche), Jerry (Anne) and Jossie (Phyllis), sisters-in-law, Grettle and Hazel, and many nieces and nephews, in Canada , India, the UK, US and Australia. He was predeceased by his sister Celine (late Louis) and his parents, Thomas and Mary. Lawrence was born in Mangalore, India, immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 2000 and moved to Calgary in 2005. He will be forever lovingly remembered by everyone who had the opportunity to come in contact with him, for the humble, selfless and charming man that he was, his warm smile, gracious hospitality, good humour, love of music, scripture, books and good food. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
