Obituary of WHITE – James Colin

December 19, 1946 – July 21, 2011 Colin White passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the age of 64 years. Colin was born on December 19, 1946 in Glasgow, Scotland and attended Glasgow Academy and the University of Glasgow where he studied law. He obtained his Chartered Accountancy designation in 1974 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Colin immigrated to Calgary with his family on July 5, 1981 where he continued to work as a Chartered Accountant and joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 1982. Colin eventually went on to establish and run his own accounting practice. Some of his true passions included golfing, boating and camping with his family and friends. Colin is survived by a son and daughter-in-law John Mark Steven and Denise Marie White; a daughter and son-in-law Julie Anne and Byron Lang Doerksen; and three grandchildren, Amber Grace and Sarah Anne Luyendyk and Payton Mirinda Anne White, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Matthew Graham Bishop and Mavis Rosina White, both of the Isle of Wight, England. Colin was predeceased by his wife Barbara Anne White.
