Obituary of DOERFLER – David Lockburn

September 17, 1909–July 19, 2011 Dad passed away peacefully in his 102nd year. He was born in Waskada, Manitoba and farmed in Manitoba all of his working years. He served on many local Boards, including school trustee and as a Director of United Grain Growers. Upon retiring, Dad and Mom moved to B.C. and came to Calgary in 1997. Dad was predeceased in 2002 by his beloved wife, Izora, after 69 years of wonderful marriage. He is survived by five children: Dorothy, Dave (Renne), Denise (Jim), Sharon (David) and Dean (Iris): fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. The family is extremely proud of the exemplary lives of Mom and Dad. A Celebration of Dad’s life will be held at Woodcliff United Church(5010 Spruce Drive S.W.) at 2:00 pmon Tuesday, July 26, 2011.
