Obituary of COLLIN – Norman Harold Foster
July 11, 1921 – July 16, 2011
Norm Collin of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the age of 90 years.
Norm was born in Calgary. He was a strong family man and active community member, he was involved with Rotary, Masonic Lodge, Boy Scouts and affiliated business associates. He enjoyed golf, curling, fishing, camping, coaching hockey and travelling. He and Dorothy have travelled extensively and enjoyed their times spent in Arizona and Shuswap Lake. Norm will be lovingly remembered by his children; Graham (Rose), Dean (Ann) and Barbara Levesque; eight grandchildren Douglas (Shirleen), Carey (Sharon), Kim (Rob), Russell, Scott, Jane, Collin and Marc; four great-grand-children Jordan, Katie, Campbell and Henry, two sisters Hilda Carlson and Marnie Gongal, two sisters-in-law Nora Collin and Joan Guldner as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 2002, two brothers Cyril and Bill and brother-in-law Johnny Guldner. A Celebration of Norm’s life will be held at Willow Park Golf and Country Club (639 Willow Park Drive S.E.) on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
