Obituary of WATER CHIEF – Jerilyn Lois

May 12, 1969–July 15, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, aunt, niece, grandmother, wife, and friend, Jerilyn, on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the age of 43. Jerilyn was born on the Siksika Nation on May 12, 1969. Jerilyn attended Gleichen, Standard andCrowfootSchool. She was very athletic and loved to bead. In the spring of 1990 she made her Cursillo at the Entheos Retreat Centre. She was very friendly and often had visitors in and out of her house. She never left without saying, “I love you”. She loved her children with all her heart and took great pride in them. She will be forever remembered by her great sense of humour, her laughter, and her mischievous and contagious smile. Jerilyn is survived by her common-law husband Donald Good Eagle; her children Jeffrey, Chasidy (Lewis) Wildman, Theo, Khadejah (Martin), Dakota, CJ, Jayden, Donte, Dawson, Jerica, Tamryn, and Hydee; grandchildren Keely, Alex and Felicia; her godson Kinglsey Daniels; her sisters Bertina (Tom), Monique (Melvin); her brothers Arthur (Sharon), Peter (Kim), Ira (Lydia) McHugh; her aunties Margaret, Joanne (Tom) Yellow Horn, Veronica Smith; great aunt Nora Ayoungman; and her uncles Larry, Mario (Karen), and Horace (Celeste) Bull Bear. Jerilyn was predeceased by her mother Ernestine; father Arthur White Elk; partner Jeffrey Three Suns; daughter Cherilyn; brother Waylon; Sister Alison; uncles Raymond, Ernest Sr. and Francis; Fraser White Elk; and aunts Teresa and Marie. Jerilyn’s extended family consists of the Three Suns, Black Horse, Ayoungman, McMaster, Eagle Speaker, Old Woman, Peace Maker, Stimson, Right Hand, Black Face, Turning Robe, Yellowfly, Bruised Head, Stud Horse (Cardinal), Poor Eagle, White Elk, Black Water, Smith, Back Fat, White Eagle and Good Eagle families. The family apologizes for anyone that may have been missed. Wake Services will be held at the Siksika Community Center on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 commencing at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. John The Divine Anglican Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB) Please forward condolencesthrough .
