Obituary of BARNES – John Arthur Brinson
December 22, 1921 – July 13, 2011
Jack Barnes Passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2011 at the age of 89 years.
He proudly served his God and Country in the Grenadier Guards, and as an original SAS member, he retired in 1986 from C.P. Police as an Investigator finding time after his service to act, sing in the Opera and pose as a nude model. He lived a full and rewarding life.
Jack leaves his beloved wife Patrice (Price/Borgford), son John (Judy), step-daughter Edwina (James) Van Camp, Grandsons John (Linda), Darren (Jodi), Ryan (Amy), 3 step–grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren to mourn his loss.
Jack’s memory will be honoured at St. Barnabas’ Anglican Church (1407 – 7th Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday July 19 at 1:00 pm. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery in the Field of Honour.
