Obituary of DIXON – Betty Louise
September 12, 1927 – July 13, 2011
Betty Louise Dixon, beloved wife and mum, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the age 83, with her husband Dwayne at her side.
She is reunited with her children, baby Shane, Shannon and Ricky; parents Albert and Aletha Jessie Doraty; and siblings, Alan and Lyle Doraty, Maxine Hall and Pauline Hogan.
Betty is survived by her husband of sixty-three years Dwayne; sons, Terry and Dale (Patty); and beloved grandson Ken.
Betty was born in Rouleau, SK, spent a number of years in Cupar and attended high school in Regina. Betty worked for John Deere in Regina, where she met her husband Dwayne and their journey as husband and wife began.
Betty, for years, was member of Highland Golf Course, where one could find her several times a week with her buddies. In the off season bowling was her passion. There wasn’t a sport that Betty didn’t enjoy, designated arm chair head coach. Betty enjoyed simple pleasures of life; her family, travel and crafts. Dwayne and Betty wintered in Casa Grande, Arizona, where many wonderful friendships were established.
