Obituary of NAKAYEDA – Miyoko Miyo

November 3, 1928 – July 8, 2011 Miyo Nakayeda of Calgary, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the age of 82 years. Miyo is survived by her sister Yo Odagaki; brother and sister-in-law Earl and Sekiko Odagaki; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ken; and brother and sister-in-law Torao and Grace Odagaki. Miyo was born in New Westminster, BC and was relocated to Slocan, BC during the Second World War. Miyo was a skilled hairdresser and soon opened her own hair salon in Calgary. After getting married, Miyo and Ken lived in Coquitlam, BC for many years before moving to Calgary. The family would like to thank the staff at Brentwood Care Centre for their kindness and help. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
